FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  Firefighters had to rescue a man who fell through the ice while trying to save his dog.

The dive team was called to Stone Lake off Winchester Road just after 3:00 Tuesday afternoon. Crews had to go about 70 feet from shore to pull the man out. Both he and his dog are now doing fine.
