FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - FedEx, UPS, and USPS all were delivering mail and packages Wednesday during the blizzard-like conditions on Wednesday.

Dawn Johnson has been working at FedEx for 13 years. When she first started, working in the snow was tough.

"First starting out, it was a little rough," she said. "Knowing that I have to be out in this cold all day, snow, wet, I mean, until the job was done."

Johnson spent part of the afternoon delivering packages to downtown Fort Wayne and the south end of town. After spending over a decade on the job, she comes prepare for any snow, wintry condition mother nature throws her way.

"Basically, I just like layer a little bit. You wear the long johns pants, but not too much because you got to remember, you're in constant motion," Johnson said.

While delivering her packages, she gets empathy from her customers.

"They have sympathy with us. They tell us to be careful, you know, not grumpy with us or anything," she said.

Johnson said when delivering packages, she and her colleagues appreciate customers clearing their sidewalks and walkways to help get your package to you without getting injured.

If your package hasn't arrive in the last couple days, contact your mail provider to check delivery.
