FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  The Mad Anthonys Children's Hope House announced expansion plans at a special ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday afternoon.

The non-profit hospitality house located on the Lutheran Hospital campus provides shelter, meals, laundry facilities and a peaceful refuge for families with children who are critically ill or injured in any area hospital.

The house will accommodate ten family guest rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a stocked pantry, two living rooms, TV lounge, computer room, fitness room, meditation room, and three laundry rooms. Since it opened nine years ago, the house has served over 4,000 families.

No timeline has been given regarding when the expansion will be complete.
