KOKOMO, Ind. (WANE) - Fairmount Police Department and Indiana State Police arrested a Kokomo, Indiana man Tuesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant from Howard County.
Kokomo Police Department detectives investigated an assault that occurred Monday involving the stabbing of a Kokomo man. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant from Howard County Superior Court II, preliminarily charging Brady D. Pierce from Kokomo with aggravated battery, a class “B” felony.
Detectives alerted law enforcement Pierce may be in the Fairmount, Indiana area. Fairmount Police Department officers and detectives from the Indiana State Police Redkey District received a tip that the suspect may be at 600 N. Barclay St. in Fairmount. When officers arrived, Pierce fled on foot, but was apprehended immediately.
Fairmount Police Department Chief Roger Reneau said, “This arrest is an example of three law enforcement agencies working together for a common goal”.
Pierce was transported by troopers to the Howard County Jail, where he is held on $150,000.00 bond.
