FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The 2009 Old Fort Cluster Dog Show wrapped up Sunday at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.

Purina was once again the official sponsor of the Old Fort Cluster Dog Show and was hosted by The Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club (NEIKC), along with the LaPorte County, Sturgis and Marion Kennel Clubs.

The Cluster is largest fall dog show in the Midwest and featured over 156 registered breeds. Over 1,700 dogs were shown each day over Saturday and Sunday.

Admission to the show, which ran from Wednesday, October 28 through Sunday November 1 was free, and guests were asked to bring a pet food item to be donated to the Community Harvest Food Bank.

This five-day dog show not only showcased some of the most popular breeds in the country but gave the public the opportunity to speak to owners, breeders and handlers about these breeds.

Some of the top show dogs in the country accompanied the show and dozens of vendors from all over the country offered dog related items such as antiques, collectibles, artwork, jewelry, clothing, books, leather goods, grooming supplies and monogramming.
