A northern Indiana man faces voluntary manslaughter charges for the shooting deaths of two men in what investigators believe was a dispute over drugs.

Prosecutors say 25-year-old Cory Waltmire of LaGrange fatally shot 24-year-old Shaun Zimmerman of Angola and 26-year-old Jason Smith of Fort Wayne.

The Sheriff's Department says the men beat Waltmire Saturday after accusing him of stealing a large amount of marijuana and he agreed to take them to his home in the town about 40 miles north of
Fort Wayne to return the drugs. Police say Waltmire retrieved a gun at his home and shot the men during another confrontation.

Waltmire is also charged with marijuana possession. He was being held Thursday in the LaGrange County Jail. Jail officials say no attorney was listed for Waltmire.
