GARRETT, Ind. (WANE) - A barbeque champion from Garrett went grill to grill in Lynchburg, Tennessee with champions from around the world at the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbeque competition Saturday.

Don Hollman told NewsChannel 15 that he placed 48th out of 87. Hollman calls the competition the Daytona of barbeque. His highest scoring meat was his chicken, which placed 20th.

Hollman said even though he and his team, "Steel Smokin'," were ranked 48, they outscored several nationally ranked teams, including three former Jack Daniels grand champions.
