FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – In the next phase of the Spring Street bridge replacement, the intersection at Leesburg Road will be closed for about four months starting next week.

According to the City of Fort Wayne’s Traffic Engineering Department, the closure will begin Wednesday, May 16 and continue through the end of September.

The closure will allow workers to reconstruct the roadway and install a traffic signal at the intersection.

A detour route will be established to use Tyler Avenue, State Boulevard and Hillegas Road for east and westbound traffic. Northbound Leesburg Road traffic will use Main Street and Runnion Avenue.
