FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department will be closing a portion of Lake Avenue starting Thursday.

The road will be closed to all traffic between Anthony Blvd. and Randallia Dr. from Thursday, June 28 through Monday, July 2.

The closure will allow workers to install storm sewer structures on Lake Ave., and continue pipe across Lake as part of the Road Diet Project.

A detour will be established taking drivers onto State Blvd.

Anyone with questions or concerns is advised to contact the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
