FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Children under the age of 17 are permitted to hunt legal game Saturday and Sunday in Indiana.

The free hunting days are two of four offered to minors throughout the year.

Young hunters must be accompanied by an adult who possesses a valid hunting license. The minor does not have to have a hunting license, HIP number or any state stamp.

Indiana’s Division of Fish and Wildlife have organized events on the agency’s property. A list of events by property is available on the department’s website.

Free youth hunting will also be available November 26-27.
