FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Junior League of Fort Wayne (JLFW) hosted a volunteer event and new member orientation on Saturday at Crossroad Child & Family Services .
Volunteers with the organization helped stencil and paint classrooms at Crossroad during the JLFW's Super Saturday.
"The Super Saturday is a great way for current members to volunteer in the community and for potential new members to get a feel for what Junior League is all about," Laura Antil, president of the Junior League of Fort Wayne, said.
Antil said around 30 women participated in the volunteer activity Saturday. The JLFW hosts four new member meetings per year, but Antil says they accept new members year round.
"Our mission is to promote volunteerism and help the women and children in our community," Antil said.
