FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The annual Out of the Darkness Walk was held on Saturday morning in Fort Wayne.
The money will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to fund research and education on suicide.
"If suicide isn't talked about and if research isn't done then I think our numbers are going to continue to climb, and we don't want them to continue to climb. We want enough education to be out there that people know how to spot signs of suicide and to learn how to prevent it," Stephanie Bodie, the Out of the Darkness Walk coordinator, said.
