FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The “Boys of Fall” are back and whether you’re rooting for your college alma mater or your favorite NFL team, chances are food is a big part of your game day festivities.

A Weight Watchers representative on the Noon News Fridays said many of those party food favorites are laden with excessive fat and calories that can sideline anyone’s weight loss efforts.

That’s why they’re demonstrating how to revamp traditional football party food into lighter versions that won’t compromise on taste and will have guests cheering for more.

Here are the recipes for some of the items highlighted in the show:

- Prepare Jalapeno Poppers with 2/3 less fat than a traditional version.
- Remake the Philly Cheesesteak that leaves out ½ the fat and calories.
- Renovate a classic spinach dip into a Feta & Spinach dip that has 2/3 less calories.
