FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Hooters on Coliseum Boulevard closed its doors on Memorial Day.

NewsChannel 15 called the restaurant after a Facebook follower left a tip about the situation.  A woman answered saying the restaurant would be closed, "forever."  No reason was given.

Employees were seen turning customers away after the business' posted opening time of 11:00 a.m.  The doors had been locked.

The restaurant was scheduled to be open on the holiday as it had advertised a Memorial Day special of free wings for active duty military.

Workers approached by NewsChannel 15 refused to speak about the closure and forwarded all inquires to RMD Corporation based in Louisville, Kentucky.

A RMD representative was reached Tuesday but did not answer any questions about the closure.  The representative took a number and promised a returned phone call.
