FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne celebrated Small Business Saturday by hosting the Holly Trolley Shopping event on Saturday.
More than 40 gift shops, galleries, and attractions, including a farmer's market and various restaurants, are on the Holly Trolley Shopping route.
The Downtown Improvement District provided the free trolley rides so families could explore downtown Fort Wayne in an inexpensive and fun way.
Most of the businesses along the trolley route is offering special holiday items or one-day discounts on Saturday.
The Downtown Improvement District and Arts United Center also included one-day "pop-up" holiday markets for this year's Holly Trolley Shopping event.
Among the other holiday activities featured in downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday are the Festival of Gingerbread, Festival of Trees, Festival of Trains, and Christmas at the Old Fort.
