FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne hair stylists raised money for Cancer of Northeast Indiana and Studio Eclipse salon owner Allison Stier Sunday.
Stier has rare, stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer. Ten percent of the money that was raised will be donated to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, and the rest of the money will go to Stier.
Salon owners from a dozen area salons donated their time and skills to give haircuts, clear color gloss treatments, conditioning treatments, temporary pink chalk streaks, nail polishing, and massages.
In addition, there were raffle prizes, including a weeklong stay in a two bedroom beachfront Siesta Key vacation condo, a set of BF Goodrich tires, a pendant and earring set from Shannon Jewelers, Redken hair products, and more.
All services at the event were for a suggested donation that was lower than the normal value.
