GRABILL, Ind. (WANE) - Firefighters battled a double house fire in the 13,400-block of State St. in Grabill Sunday evening.
The fire started around 4 p.m.. The homeowner told NewsChannel 15 she had just left her house to celebrate her son's birthday when she started getting calls saying her house was on fire.
The fire spread to a neighbor's home, but there wasn't a lot of damage to that house. That homeowner was home at the time and made it out safely.
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire, but the homeowner's friends told NewsChannel 15 it might have been a cord to a heater.
