FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Golfers hit the links Sunday to help benefit the Northeast Indiana Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The Cherry Hill Golf Club had 144 people participate in the Yolo MDA Outing.
Approximately 25 sponsors helped and the event raised $4,375.
“We wanted to give back to the community and what a better organization to give to is the MDA and especially being the week of MDA and being able to do a golf outing on the Sunday before the live telethon on Monday it really means a lot from all of us at Yolos,” said Steve Staley, GM of Yolo Event Center.
There were also contests during the scramble such as a hole-in-one car giveaway, longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.
