FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The second annual Gingerbread Pursuit was held on Saturday morning at the intersection of Clay and Wayne streets in Fort Wayne.
Mitch Harper, race director, said the race doubled in size this year, going from 200 runners in 2011 to nearly 400 runners in 2012.
The event benefits the Early Childhood Alliance and also helps support Fort Wayne's History Center's programs.
Harper said all runners received free admission to the Gingerbread Festival at The History Center and gingerbread goodies at the finish line from Vanilla Bean Bakery and Pembroke Bakery.
