FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A four inch gas main on Coldwater Road was hit by AEP workers around 11:45 a.m. Monday.

A NIPSCO spokesperson said the workers were trying to drill a hole for a new pole that they were setting up on Coldwater Road.

The spokesperson said Chase Bank located at 3810 Coldwater Road was the only business affected by the gas leak.

One lane of Coldwater Road in the area was closed into the evening while crews made the necessary repairs.
