FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The annual Galloping Gobbler four mile run took place Thursday at the University of St. Francis.
More than 900 runners braved the elements to participate in Fort Wayne's most popular Thanksgiving day race organized by City Councilman, Mitch Harper.
The winner of the 2009 race is Mike Cole. "This course is tough," said Cole. "There's always a lot of good competition, lots of rolling hills back in the cemetery, it is a good work out."
The first woman to cross the finish line was Beth Herndon.
