FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Fort Wayne Sport Club will be hosting a Craft Beer Tasting on Saturday, October 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The beer tasting is done in partnership with AALCO Distributing and is part of the 9th Annual Soctoberfest Celebration.

Some of the craft beers being featured are:

  • Sierra Nevada Tumbler Autumn Brown Ale, which features fresh-roasted malt straight from the kiln to give it a gracefully smooth character perfect for autumn
  • Sierra Nevada Torpedo
  • O’Fallon Pumpkin Beer, described as “Pumpkin Pie in a bottle"
  • Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale brewed with ripe pumpkins and seasonal spices, including nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves
  • Beck’s Octoberfest German-style Marzen, with a distinctive amber color and aromatic, malty-sweet taste
  • Goose Island Harvest Ale, which was brewed in honor of the Harvest Season, has a fruity American hop aroma and toasty malt character

Soctoberfest will also include the FWASL women’s team playing a game at 2:00 p.m. and the Fort Wayne Sport Club Over-50 team will be hosting Team Edelweiss from Dayton at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
