FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Mustard Seed Furniture Bank is working with the Red Cross to assist people who were recently affected by fires.

The Fort Wayne area has had four apartment complex fires in less than three weeks. The Mustard Seed Furniture Bank is helping over 20 people from the Baldwin Creek Apartment complex, which happened Sunday morning.

The Mustard Seed needs the following items:

  • Pots and pans
  • Toasters
  • Crock pots
  • Bake ware
  • Silverware
  • Cooking utensils
  • Kitchen towels and dish cloths
  • Blankets for twin, full, queen and king-sized beds

Items must be new or gently-used and free of rips, tears, animal hair, and cigarette burns.

People can also donate cash or gift cards, which will be used to purchase items for the fire victims.

Donations are tax deductible.

You can drop them off at Mustard Seed Furniture Bank at the corner of Illinois and Hillegas roads Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
