FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - County and city emergency officials are responding to several crashes Monday morning because of the slick roads.

Snow began falling around 4 a.m. and that eventually turned into freezing rain. That caused slick roads and hazardous driving conditions.

Fort Wayne city dispatch said I-69 was very slick between mile markers 305 and 312. That's from Illinois Rd. to Coldwater Rd.

There was also a crash on S.R. 37 near I-469. One lane was closed in that area while crews worked on cleaning up the crash. Officials at the scene said a service truck and car collided. The female driver of the car was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
