The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission expects to serve about 2,000 free meals on Thanksgiving.

Dinner will be served from noon to three.  The Mission is located at 301 West Superior Street.

Saint Mary's Catholic Church will also host Thanksgiving Dinner. The church will serve from 11 to 1 p.m. with carry outs after that. Saint Mary's is at the corner of Jefferson and Lafayette.

Cosmos restaurant on Washington Center Road in Fort Wayne is one of a couple of local restaurants that are also serving up ffree meals on Thanksgiving.

The owners, Petro and Georgia Bourounis, have done this for the past 13 years. It's their way of saying thanks to their customers.

They'll serve the free meal from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sherri's Place in Columbia City is also serving a free Thanksgiving meal from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sherri Grim is the owner. She tells us she started this dinner four years ago as a way to give back to her customers.

It's very popular with those who can't prepare or afford their own Thanksgiving meal.
