FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - There was a ceremony Saturday to narrow the Fort Wayne's Smallest Winner competition from 27 to the top five.

Creators of the program say the contestants lost an average of 50 pounds per person. There were also two people who lost at least 100 pounds.

The top 5 will now continue their training. A grand champion will be named on September 8th.

Leaders of the program say they'll start accepting applications for season 6 in February.
