Fort Wayne's annual Chilifest Cook-off on Oct. 6

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne's 7th annual Chilifest Cook-off will be held on October 6 at Headwaters Park.

The competitors will begin cooking at 8:45 a.m. and public tasting will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Competitors will be cooking red chili, white chili, chili verde, restaurant style chili, bean chili, and salsa chili.

People can vote for their favorite chili and the winner of "People's Choice Chili" will be crowned at the end of the day.

There will also be a "Casi Competition" where cooks will be vying for points to compete in the National Chili Cook-off in Texas

There is a $5 entry fee for public tasting.
