INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) - A Fort Wayne woman won $40,000 in Wednesday night's record-setting Powerball drawing.
Barbara Wright bought her ticket at the North Pointe Marathon located at 1828 West Dupont Road.
Wright matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball number. She increased her prize by adding Power Play to her ticket for an extra dollar.
The extra dollar Wright paid for Power Play earned her $30,000, increasing her winnings from $10,000 to $40,000.
Wright said she plans to pay off financial obligations and put a down payment on a car. She also hopes to take a fishing trip to the Florida Keys or a bear hunting trip to Wyoming with her husband.
