Washington Blvd. expected to open at 1 pm

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Washington Blvd. is closed downtown between Harrison St. and Ewing St. Officials say the roadway will be closed until about 1 p.m. They originally thought it would reopen around 9 a.m.
City officials are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
Crews have been working through the night to extend a storm sewer across Washington Blvd.
A detour is in place using Harrison St., Berry St. and Fairfield Ave.
