FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The city of Fort Wayne announced Friday that the clean up for the severe storms that hit the city on June 29 is complete.

Curbside pickup was completed last week and the city of Fort Wayne will now begin to remove the debris that remains on private property.

Starting on Monday, September 24, the Neighborhood Code Enforcement will begin to provide notices to owners if their properties still contain debris left over from the storm.

If the debris is not removed within the 10-day notice period, a Neighborhood Code Enforcement contractor will remove the debris. The property owner will then be charged for the removal.

Residents may take storm debris to the City’s Biosolids Facility on 6210 Lake Avenue. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A small fee will be charged based on the weight of the debris that you drop off.
