FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A Fort Wayne city official said there are around 40 plow trucks working to remove snow from area roads.

Fort Wayne Street Department Crews will work through the night to clear streets and salt intersections.

The city’s snow plan targets these primary streets first:

  • Anthony Boulevard
  • State Boulevard
  • Paulding Road
  • Aboite Center Road
  • Washington Center Road
  • Jefferson Boulevard

Secondary streets are plowed next, which includes streets such as Hazelett, Reckeweg, Barr, Dickie, and Raymond.

Residential streets are plowed after the primary and secondary streets.

If snow continues to fall, the primary streets may have to be cleared a second or third time before crews can move on to secondary and residential streets.
