Fort Wayne saxophonist opening jazz concert in Van Wert

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) This weekend the Grammy-nominated jazz group the Rippingtons will perform in Van Wert, Ohio and a Fort Wayne native will open the show.

Kris Brownlee, a saxophonist, spoke with NewsChannel 15 about his big break and the inroads he has made into the Jazz scene.

Brownlee also played  sample of what audiences will get over the weekend.

Kris Brownlee will open for the Rippingtons on Saturday, Jan 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert.
