FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A Fort Wayne man was attacked Thursday by another man who claimed the victim owed him $43.

The News Sentinel
reported that Eric Gomez, 21, came to the victim's apartment asking for the money, according to an affidavit for probable cause.

Gomez allegedly pushed the victim over a couch, causing him to hit his head on a fish tank.  Gomez then grabbed the man by his throat and punched him in the face multiple times.

The victim said he then left the apartment for around 10 minutes, and when he returned the front door was open, a brick had been thrown through the living room window, and a television was missing.  A neighbor reported seeing someone matching Gomez's description carrying the TV out of the apartment.

Gomez was arrested on charges of burglary and battery.
