FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Kids from all over the Midwest were in Fort Wayne Sunday, playing some soccer and raising money for a good cause.
It was Fort Wayne Fever Academy's third annual Shoot for a Cure Tournament.
This year they're helping raise money for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. People were wearing pink to help raise awareness. Money raised from registration fees and raffles will go to the foundation.
"What we've done is try to educate the kids that it's not just about playing the game, but just by doing that they can help raise money for a worth while event," Tournament Director Aaron Tulloch said.
Organizers were hoping to raise about $5,000 to $10,000.
