FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne Community schools will open their doors to families and prospective families for the next three days.

The schools will hold open houses Tuesday through Thursday, February 7 through 9.

The open houses are designed to assist with the School Choice process. Parents will be able to visit prospective schools and learn more about the environments in each building.

Open houses at elementary schools are from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Hours at middle and high schools are from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Many parents signed up to attend these open houses at the district's School Choice Fair last month.

Anyone who didn't sign up, can call the schools they want to visit to make sure there's space available for tours.

Transfer applications are due February 24, for anyone who's interested in attending a school other than an assigned neighborhood school.
