Fort Wayne Children's Zoo Voted Top Summer Attraction in Indiana

Indianapolis, Ind. (WANE) - Apparently the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is the place to be in the summer, at least that's what people said in a recent online poll.

The Indiana Office of Tourism Development released the results of its inaugural "Best of Indiana:  Your Ten Favorites" poll.  In the category "Summer Gotta-Dos", The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo came in first, with another Summit City favorite, a TinCaps game at Parkview Field finishing second.  The Indiana Dunes in Chesterton came in third.

The "Your Ten Favorites" lists idea came after the Indiana Office of Tourism Development had success with its "Super 46 Sandwiches in Indiana" list, which was created in conjunction with Super Bowl XLVI.

The categories for this poll included Best Pie, Best Sandwich, Best Ice Cream Shop, Best Fall Foliage Spot, and Best Summer Gotta-Do.  Here are the top three results from each category:
