FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The CANI Awards were held on Thursday, October 4 at Classic Café to honor clients, volunteers, and AmeriCorps members.
Julia Fiechter, Executive Director of Lendingahand.net , served as the keynote speaker for the event.
During theCANI RECAP, local individuals and organizations were honored with Volunteer and Partnership awards. "Hope Builder" awards were also given out to honor the effort of people who have used the programs and services of CANI to move up and out of poverty.
Ten AmeriCorps members took their pledges, as a formal induction into the CANI Corps program.
