FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Lutheran Social Services of Indiana (LSSI) received a $705,000 grant from the Foellinger Foundation . The grant is part of a special initiative of the Foundation which provides operating, limited capital improvement and replacement, and special organizational effectiveness support.
“This award will have a significant impact on our organization and the families we serve. The last three years of Foellinger support has helped us develop our governance structure, enhanced our fundraising, grown our programs to families in need, and enabled us to develop an ongoing strategic planning and evaluation process," Angie Moellering, LSSI President and CEO, said.
The Foellinger Foundation was created by Helene R. Foellinger, The News-Sentinel’s publisher from 1938 to 1980, and her mother Esther, in 1958. The Foundation awards grants to benefit people in Fort Wayne and Allen County.
Lutheran Social Services of Indiana is a nonprofit social ministry organization that provides a variety of services, including adoption, financial assistance, case management for pregnant and parenting teens, early-childhood education, and other case-management services in northern Indiana.
