FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A fire broke out at 7017 Blackhawk Lane in Fort Wayne's northeast side at around 7:20 a.m. Sunday.
Firefighters said they arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the attic area of the house.
According to firefighters, the interior ceilings had to be pulled to gain access to the fire. The home was heavily damaged.
Two adults were in the house at the time of the fire. Both of them evacuated and there were no injuries.
Firefighters have not determined the cause of the fire. The incident is still under investigation.
