Fire heavily damages home on Allegany Avenue

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Firefighters were called to a house fire at 3020 Allegany Avenue around noon Sunday.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department said the fire started in the living room and was contained to the first floor of the home. The home sustained heavy smoke and water damage.

According to officials, the fire was called under control at 12:23 p.m.

The fire department said no one was home at the time of the fire.

According to officials, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There were no injuries.
