FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Firefighters were called to a fire at the Canterbury Green apartment complex around 2:20 a.m. Sunday.
Firefighters said they arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a first floor apartment located at 5210 Stonehedge Boulevard.
Officials said the fire started on the stove.
Residents from 11 adjoining apartments were evacuated. Firefighters said some people were evacuated by a ladder from a balcony on the second floor.
The fire was under control in around 30 minutes.
Officials said there were no injuries.
