FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Saturday was the 10th annual Kekionga Festival in Decatur.
The event celebrates the history and heritage of the town. It gives people a chance to see what it was like to live in 1840's Indiana.
"We're very unique, and we just want to make sure that people are aware of what has gone on here in the past. We think we need to be tied to our history and tied to our heritage," Wes Kuntzman, the executive director of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, said.
There were all kinds of demonstrations and activities. The festival is on the banks of the St. Marys River and downtown on 2nd Street. Some of the activities continue Sunday until 4 p.m.
