FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Repairs continued Monday morning on a water main break from Sunday afternoon on Engle Road near Jefferson Boulevard.

Around noon Sunday, Aqua Indiana crews closed northbound Engle Road between Smith Road and Jefferson Boulevard to dig out a 15-foot hole to make repairs.

75 customers were affected by the break. According to Aqua Indiana representative, Lee Kelso, Aqua Indiana crews delivered bottled water to affected customers while repairs were being made; customers in return brought food and water to the crews as they worked throughout the night.

Repairs to the water main were completed at midnight but crews then worked to fill the 15-foot hole with concrete.

Crews initially expected to have the road reopened by 8 a.m. but it remained closed at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
