FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Davey Resource Group has been hired for $62,000 by the City of Fort Wayne to assess 12,000 Ash trees and weigh in on the overall Emerald Ash borer plan.
According to the Parks and Recreation Department, after assessing the 12,000 trees between mid-April through mid-June, Davey will prioritize 3,000 of the most hazardous trees to be removed.
After the trees are removed, new ones will be planted in the fall.
