ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Democrat gubernatorial candidate John Gregg visited Fort Wayne on Monday.

Gregg spoke at the Fort Wayne Downtown Rotary Club at Parkview Field at 12:45 p.m.

He then met with IPFW college democrats at the Walb Student Union on the IPFW campus at 3:30 p.m.

Gregg will end the appearances in Fort Wayne with a Sheet Metal Workers Candidiates Meeting at the Area Local Office at 6:00 p.m.

He told voters to take a close look at his record.

"Look beyond the party labels and you'll see I'm the only candidate who's made a payroll and knows how to create jobs, that I'm the only candidate with experience in education," Gregg told the Rotary Club attendees. "I'm a former president of Vincennes University.  And I'm the only candidate who has passed a bipartisan balanced budget for the state of Indiana."

Gregg is running against Republican Mike Pence and Libertarian Rupert Boneham.

On Tuesday, Gregg is planning to Visit a BP refinery in Lake County and attend an SEIU "Walk a Day Program" in Gary, Ind.
