FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne firefighters are investigating a house fire from early Monday morning.

Just after 4:30 a.m., fire crews were dispatched to Unique Minds Childcare, a house in the 3100 block of Drexel Avenue, just off Wayne Trace.

The first arriving crews found smoke and flames coming from the back of the structure. They were able to quickly put out the fire before it spread throughout the one-story house.

An FWFD report said the fire started in a back bedroom.

No one was inside the house when the fire started.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
