CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (WANE) Fire crews responded to reports of a fire at the Blue Ridge Mobile Home Park at 677 U.S. 33 around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to Officials on the scene, it appeared that residents were attempting to unfreeze some pipes, located underneath the mobile home, by placing heaters near the pipes outside. The plastic skirt, plastic siding and insulation of the home caught fire and when the residents were unable to put the fire out, they called 911.
It is not known how many people were home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
According to officials on the scene, there was substantial damage to the siding of the home and smoke damage to the interior of the home.
