FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Crews will work overnight on sound barriers along I-69 near Dupont Road beginning Wednesday, May 22 and continuing through early June.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) said the work, which will take place between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., is due to the tight working environment in conjunction with the I-69/Union Chapel Road interchange project.
The contractor must restrict southbound I-69 to one lane to work on the walls, and this may only be done overnight. Work may not be performed between noon on Friday, May 25, and sunrise Tuesday, May 29, during the Memorial Day holiday, per contract terms.
Once this section of the project is complete, the work will return to daytime hours.
