FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, crews were called back to the Office Depot at the Northcrest Shopping Center.
According to officials on the scene, the fire that originated in an underground vault that housed wiring and other electrical equipment had been rekindled.
Two neighboring stores were without power but the rest of the shopping center was unaffecteed by the fire.
Crews had been called to the scene earlier in the day, around 4:30, when employees noticed some smoke in the building, and lights flickering.
When fire crews got there, they found a small fire on the roof and a problem with the underground electrical vault.
Damage to the building was minimal at the time, but the fire did give off a lot of smoke.
Police helped block entrances to Northcrest, while crews put out the fire.
Workers with Indiana Michigan Power are also investigating.
