FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Freedom Financial Federal Credit Union's doors remained locked Wednesday.  However, the credit union on Inwood Drive was open for business, only through its drive-through.

The credit union was closed Tuesday.  A spokesperson at Freedom Financial Federal Credit Union told NewsChannel 15 Wednesday it was trying to limit business to people who "needed to get money."

Police continue to investigate the bank robbery that took place there Monday night.

Lt. Raquel Foster said police do not have anyone in custody at this time, and are urging people with information to come forward.

"If you don't want to share [the tip] with the Fort Wayne Police Department, then share it anonymously with Crime Stoppers ," Foster said.  "There is a possible cash reward, for your information."

Freedom Financial Federal Credit Union, and all federally insured credit unions, are protected by the National Credit Union Administration .  NCUA protects all accounts, up to $250,000.  The same amount Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation protects in a bank account.

Monday's robbery was not the first time Freedom Financial was the target of a robbery.  The most recent one took place in April of this year.   Foster said the police department will make security suggestions whenever any financial institution is targeted for a robbery.

"We need to always be revisiting those security measures in place," Foster said.  "Because financial institutions are always going to be a target."

Banks and credit unions have installed several security devices, such as GPS tracking, dye packs, and security cameras.

"A lot of local banks are taking advantage of modern technology, and a lot of security that help law enforcement," Foster said.  "When we do have an incident, we can identify suspects, apprehend them.  Take them off the streets, so we don't have repeat incidents."
